It's crazy that it's the first day of August but part of me is a little excited because it means I only have 8 weeks left to go until my baby is due. But in all honesty it makes me sad to think that we only have three and a half weeks of summer left until Jake has to go back to school. Have I mentioned how much I love Jake being home with me each day? Cause I do!! At least I can say that we've had a really fun summer so far - even with me being pregnant and we still have three and a half more weeks of more fun to look forward to!!
The biggest highlight of our summer has been the return of my sister Laura, her hubby Tyson and my adorable niece, Lydia. We've had a calendar on our fridge counting down the days and it finally came and we've been loving every moment we've had catching up and having fun together. I'll post pictures of the fun adventures we've had later (I need to get the pictures from my sisters camera).
In the mean time here is some of the fun stuff we've done in July while waiting for my sister to come home... If you haven't caught on by now, yes we love to swim!!!!
The first two weeks of July, Jake and Court had swim lessons four days a week. They took them from an amazing lady, Ann Tippets in Plain City. She has a pool in her back yard and has been teaching for over 30 years. I was so amazed how much my kids learned and how well much they progressed. The kids had a blast and were so sad when they were over. Will definitely be doing this again next year.
Like every year my Mom had a Canadian party for Canada day. My cousins sent down some Canadian Tatoos so my kids really got into it. Thanks Mom for a fun party.
Later that evening after our Canadian party we headed over to the the Cole's for fireworks to start off July 4th celebration.
July 4th we headed to Huntsville to check out the breakfast in the park. We had such a fun time, all of the bouncy houses were only fifty cents each, the breakfast was delicious and the parade was adorable. We're thinking this will be a new family tradition each year.
At least once or twice a week we fill up our pool and always end up with a small neighborhood party in our back yard. It's a lot of fun, the only people I feel bad for are my neighbors who have to see the pregnant woman in her bathing suit each week. Lol!! Good times!!!
Even Scott enjoys the pool. Lol!! Have I mentioned how hot this summer has been??
When ever we get the chance we head to Willard Bay, the evenings are our favorite. It's so close and thanks to my Mom and Dad's pass it's so convenient.
Courtney all dressed up for church. Too adorable eh!!
Here are some more fun pictures of the kids swimming at my friend Lindsey's pool!!!
Here we are at the July 24th, Ogden Pioneer parade. Way fun!!!
Our good friend John built this awesome slip n slide on his driveway. The kids had so much fun! Thanks again John and Julie for the fun!!
Of course no summer is complete without a sleep over on the trampoline with Dad!!
