July Fun

It's crazy that it's the first day of August but part of me is a little excited because it means I only have 8 weeks left to go until my baby is due. But in all honesty it makes me sad to think that we only have three and a half weeks of summer left until Jake has to go back to school. Have I mentioned how much I love Jake being home with me each day? Cause I do!! At least I can say that we've had a really fun summer so far - even with me being pregnant and we still have three and a half more weeks of more fun to look forward to!!

The biggest highlight of our summer has been the return of my sister Laura, her hubby Tyson and my adorable niece, Lydia. We've had a calendar on our fridge counting down the days and it finally came and we've been loving every moment we've had catching up and having fun together.  I'll post pictures of the fun adventures we've had later (I need to get the pictures from my sisters camera).

In the mean time here is some of the fun stuff we've done in July while waiting for my sister to come home... If you haven't caught on by  now, yes we love to swim!!!!

PhotobucketPhotobucket The first two weeks of July, Jake and Court had swim lessons four days a week. They took them from an amazing lady, Ann Tippets in Plain City. She has a pool in her back yard and has been teaching for over 30 years. I was so amazed how much my kids learned and how well much they progressed. The kids had a blast and were so sad when they were over. Will definitely be doing this again next year.

Photobucket Like every year my Mom had a Canadian party for Canada day. My cousins sent down some Canadian Tatoos so my kids really got into it. Thanks Mom for a fun party.

PhotobucketPhotobucket Later that evening after our Canadian party we headed over to the the Cole's for fireworks to start off July 4th celebration.

July 4th we headed to Huntsville to check out the breakfast in the park. We had such a fun time, all of the bouncy houses were only fifty cents each, the breakfast was delicious and the parade was adorable. We're thinking this will be a new family tradition each year.

PhotobucketPhotobucket At least once or twice a week we fill up our pool and always end up with a small neighborhood party in our back yard. It's a lot of fun, the only people I feel bad for are my neighbors who have to see the pregnant woman in her bathing suit each week. Lol!! Good times!!!

Photobucket Even Scott enjoys the pool. Lol!! Have I mentioned how hot this summer has been??

PhotobucketPhotobucket When ever we get the chance we head to Willard Bay, the evenings are our favorite. It's so close and thanks to my Mom and Dad's pass it's so convenient.

Photobucket Courtney all dressed up for church. Too adorable eh!!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Here are some more fun pictures of the kids swimming at my friend Lindsey's pool!!!

Photobucket Here we are at the July 24th, Ogden Pioneer parade. Way fun!!!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket Our good friend John built this awesome slip n slide on his driveway. The kids had so much fun! Thanks again John and Julie for the fun!!

Photobucket Of course no summer is complete without a sleep over on the trampoline with Dad!!

More Summer Fun in June

Courtney and Jake played Baseball and T-Ball this year. It was busy as they each had games twice a week. But they both had a ton of fun so in the end it was worth it. I have the coolest picture of Jake playing Baseball that I'll post in a bit. Here are a few cute pictures of Court with her all girl team. All the girls on her team were from our neighborhood so again she had a ton of fun. Photobucket Photobucket My kids are little fishes and love, love, love to swim. Already this year we've swam at Lindsey's pool a few times, Roy Aquatic Pool twice, our neighbor Travis's parents pool, Willard Bay and it's only June. Photobucket This is my happy place!!! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket The Cole family and I had a garage sale in Clinton. It was a ton of fun but soooo much work and sadly this year I didn't make a lot of money. Was it worth all the work?? Not sure?? But in the end it was fun hanging out with my sister in-laws and brother in-laws and I got rid of lot of Junk so maybe it was worth it. Ask Jake and he has a totally different story- he had a blast as he made $12. 50! Go Jake!!

Happy Birthday and Fathers Day Scott!!!

This year Scott's birthday fell on Father's day. I was excited as I realized I only had to be nice to Scott once this year instead of two times. Lol!! Totally kidding.

I love Scott's birthday, I always look forward to it and the reason for this is because he HATES his birthday. When you live with a birthday grinch it's always fun to try and make his birthday extra fun and exciting.  This year we started out with of course decorations and a big breakfast. It was Sunday so when Scott was getting ready for Church I had the idea of texting everyone on my phone who's in my Ward asking them a small favor. I said that it's my hubby's birthday and he hates his birthday but most of all hates people knowing its his birthday..so if they see him wish him a happy birthday. It was a complete riot. The entire 3 hours of church people were coming up and wishing Scott Happy Birthday - small kids, older people, friends, people he didn't quite know. Scott kept asking me how people knew it was his Birthday - he was baffled??  After church we came out and his car was decorated with Happy Birthday Scott drawn all over the windows. Seriously priceless. At the end of church one of our neighbors told him about the text and thankfully Scott thought it was pretty hilarious.  It definitely made it a fun birthday for the birthday grinch!! A big thanks to everyone who helped make this a fun day for Scott.

And Happy Fathers day to my amazing husband, Dad and Father in-law!!

Court made this special tie for her Dad in church and she insisted he wear it all day long. Too cute!

Bear Lake in June!!

We had another fun week in Bear Lake.  It was a bit cold the first few days but being pregnant I have to admit I didn't complain. By the end of the week it was back to being hot but either hot or cold we had a blast!!! Memorial Day - Weekend!!!

Memorial Day weekend is one of our favorite weekends of the year.  It started off Saturday with Jake and Scott going to Salt Lake to see the Motorcycle races, this has been a long time tradition for Scott and now the 2nd year with Jake going too. Unfortunately they got rained on and froze to death but they still had fun and called it 'an adventure'.

Sunday we headed to Preston Idaho to see Grandpa Cole's parents graves and then to Logan for a picnic. Again, the weather didn't cooperate but we survived the rain and wind and we still had fun.

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Monday, we started the day off at Jeremiah's for breakfast. Yummy! Then we headed to Willard Bay for a couple of hours and then off to Grandma Cole's parents graves in South Ogden and another family picnic with the Cole's. Did I mention how much we love Memorial Day Weekend!!! Photobucket Photobucket
